Apples, Apples Everywhere

This week we read a variety of stories about one of our favorite topics- Apples!

Books
The Apple Pie Tree
Farmer Brown's Apple Tree
Six Big Apples
Market Day
Apples and Pumpkins

Our poems this week were enhanced with felt apples.

Five Red Apples
Five red apples in a grocery store (Hold up five fingers)
Bobby bought one, and then there were four.
Four red apples on an apple tree (Hold up four fingers)
Susie ate one and the there were three.
Three red apples. What did Alice do?
Why, she ate one and then there were two.
Two red apples ripening in the sun.
Timmy ate one, and then there was one.
One red apple, and now there was one.
I ate the last one and now there are none.

Two Red Apples
Way up high in the apple tree (reach for the sky)
Two red apples smiled at me. (hold up two fingers)
I shook that tree as hard as I could. (pretend to shake the tree)
Down came the apples (wiggle fingers link from the sky to the ground)
MMMMMM they were good. (rub your tummy)
